Gabriella July, a graduate from Everest Institute, has been practicing massage therapy for 6 plus years. She became interested in the massage therapy industry after her mother was unfortunately struck by a F150, in March of 2010 the very year I graduated from High school, which led her to bed rest for 6 months.
Her whole life she planned on becoming a teacher but after doing an internship her junior year of high school in a 1st grade classroom she rethought that dream.Â

"I felt like I didn’t know if teaching was truly my passion. How could I manage 30 children of my own then go home and be a mother to my own family? I wound up getting pregnant with my eldest son in May of 2010. Staying at home caring for my mom and also trying to come to terms with becoming a mom was overwhelming for me. My mom started to go to physical therapy for her injury when all of a sudden the insurance no longer covered her massage therapy.
It was the only thing that helped with the recovery from her foot injury. Now you can’t tell or even notice the scar from the surgery. She later, when I was pregnant with my youngest son, introduced me to massage therapy, for myself, to help relieve my aches and pains and I just fell in love! I started to get regular massages and later just fell in love with the craft itself. I began to wonder why I didn’t think of this sooner.
My mind would have BEEN in a better state had I just thought to take better care of my body. So I researched schools, pricing and modalities. I don’t regret any of it, to this day, I feel like I’m pursuing what I was called to do."
Gabriella has now finished esthetician school and is in the process of taking the state board to become a licensed esthetician. She now has her own suite in Oak Park, MI.
