Stockbridge Amphitheater Grand Opening with Gladys Knight & Patti LaBelle
Mayor Anthony S. Ford and council stand in solidarity with Pastor Terrance Gattis to pray over the venue, safety and wellbeing during the grand event.
It stands true that The City of Stockbridge is for the people by the people! In the year 2020 Stockbridge celebrated 100 years of cityhood and this past Saturday, September 25, 2021, the city held their amphitheater grand opening ceremony, making history as the first amphitheater in Henry County, Georgia. Providing a "live, work, play" lifestyle the amphitheater gave citizens high hopes and expectations and the city delivered with award-winning musical legends Gladys Knight & Patti LaBelle headlining the grand opening concert.
The ribbon cutting set the tone for the nights's anticipated excitement.

Musical legends Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle bless Henry County, Georgia headlining the grand opening concert for The City of Stockbridge's Amphitheater. The beautiful icons left the crowd happy and moved as we joined them in performing some of their greatest hits, remembering other well known musicians who were close to them but are no longer with us and partied the night away for a joyous celebration during such an unstable time.
If you missed this amazing show don't worry, we had you in mind the entire time. To view a few clips from both performances and party with the crowd virtually you can head on over to our YouTube channel https://youtu.be/WFMYScGvIZQ .

Let's be clear Ms. Gladys and Ms. Patti weren't the only fashionistas in the building. There were quit a few women and men setting the tone for the evening dressed to empress and many others dressed for a relaxed time with loved ones whose smile spoke louder than any piece of clothing ever could.
